It’s all about the Pets.

This site was created for all pet enthusiasts.

Our mission is to bring the pet community together through knowledge and understanding. It is true that collecting all pets in one physical location wouldn't be a good thing, considering some are natural enemies – prey and predator. This does not mean that all homosapiens can’t get together. There is a commonality that we as pet lovers do possess and that is a true love for our pets – no matter the species.

What can we say…they're extremely wonderful non-judgmental friends that keep us from being lonely and love us unconditionally. Besides being adorable, quirky, silly, and just so darn cute you can’t stand it…they need us.

And in turn - we need them.

The basis of this site is really about our pets, but the side effect we hope is the realization that we all need each other - no matter where we live, how many legs we have or the color of our fur.

Knowledge can bring tolerance.

We, at Pet Central, believe strongly that knowledge is power.

Understanding other types of pets can bring about a change in attitude, opening your mind about all living creatures, dispelling myths, quelling fears, and even increasing your appreciation for your own pet!

Initially, it may be difficult to understand why someone would choose a tarantula over a kitten, but it does not mean that both pet parents love their pet any less than the other. We all have our differences, our likes and dislikes, but the common thread is the love of our pets. And that is one thing we can all agree on…

The possibilities are endless.

The staff here hopes that you sign up and join our community.It is always nice to see new faces and find out more about someone. We want the environment in PetPlace Central to be a friendly one. Perhaps you will meet another pet that has the same likes and loves as you. You might even become ‘pet pals’ with someone half a world away.

We encourage you to reach out and communicate with someone new!

The best way to do that is to ask questions. Why did you choose a hermit crab as a pet?

What do sugar gliders eat? What do ferrets like to play with in their spare time?

We are amazed everyday with the new technology that is available for us now.

Who knew just 10 years ago that we would be able to view and talk to someone 8 time zones away over the internet.

At PetPlace Central, we try to introduce new ways of communicating and encourage your participation in our global community through technology. This Social Network is built on an extremely pliable platform that allows us to expand and add new features to keep your experience with us fun and engaging.

We have new applications that are currently in development that will allow even more interactivity with your account, increasing mobility for easier access and includes fun features that will have built-in rewards for participation.

Keep in Touch. Communication is key.

No two individuals are alike and the way we communicate with others is just as unique and individual. We built PetPlace Central with the intent to create a safe place for members to communicate with each other in various ways.

You can be as public or as private as you want. We do encourage openness in this community, but it is your prerogative.

Members can sign up as their pet and keep all personal information – private. There are areas that can only be accessed by members of the community. Members can also create private groups, events, or they can be as public as they want. The communication levels are always set by the member themselves.

We also want to hear from our members. This community is for you and we want to transform our site to better serve you - its members. Please drop us a line every once in a while to let us know how we are doing!
